Experience

Manuel Polanco joined the firm as an Associate in 1996 and within a year assumed the position of Director. He was admitted as a partner of the firm in 1999. Since 2000 he has been Managing Partner of Bolet & Terrero. Before joining the firm, he worked as a partner of the law firm Polanco, Asuaje y Mármol between 1990 and 1994. Between 1995 and 1998, he taught Policy and Legal Framework at the Universidad Metropolitana. At Bolet & Terrero, his management has been characterised by promoting the modernisation of the firm, its professionalisation, and the implementation of computerised information systems to support IP management. He has taken courses in negotiations at Harvard Law School, and in Management for Lawyers at Yale University. He has also had a sustained interest in theological issues. He has been a Venezuelan delegate to the ASIPI Board of Directors (attending ASIPI congresses since 1993), and President of the Venezuelan group at AIPPI (attending AIPPI events since 1995). Since 2010, he has been Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Caracas.
