Experience

Mariateresa is a lawyer graduated from Universidad Monteávila, Specialist in Administrative Law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and Specialist in Intellectual Property from Universidad Monteávila. Member of Bolet & Terrero since 2011 where she started her professional practice as an intern. Currently, she focuses her work in the Trademark Department, specifically, in the Renewals unit, and was an attorney advisor to the Science and Technology Commission of the National Assembly during the period 2018 – 2019 where she participated in the drafting of the draft Industrial Property Law proposed by said commission, which was approved in first discussion by the plenary of the National Assembly (2019).

She has worked with the Subcommittee on Legislation and Regulation for Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Trademark Association (2018-2019 and 2019 – 2021), where she coordinated working meetings with the Directorate of International Affairs of the Autonomous Service of Intellectual Property (SAPI) and INTA, on the occasion of the draft Industrial Property Law on which that body began to work.Additionally, she has worked in the Trademark Committee of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) in the coordination of a training workshop for officials of the Autonomous Service of Intellectual Property (SAPI), and was a speaker at a training workshop for officials of the National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay in 2024.
